Drumbar Club Notes 06/03/06

Senior Team: Our Senior team have drawn in the last two home League games. Results were 1-1 against Dunlewy, the goal was scored by Shane Brown. Last Sunday they played Dromoghill. (0-0) The young playes gave a good account of themselves namely Conal Rooney, Davy Crawford, and James Walsh. Raymond Ford came on as sub in the second half and also had a good game. Next Sunday 12th March the team is away to Bonagee in the last game of the League and the club wish them well. 

U-14 Team: Last Saturday’s game against Donegal/Killymard was called off due to bad weather. This Saturday they are playing away to near neighbours Copony Rovers and all players are requested to be at Drumbar at 9.45a.m. Training at A.V.S. Gym Wednesday   7p.m.- 8p.m.

U-12 Team:  Training Wed. A.V.S. Gym 7p.m.- 8p.m.

U-10 Team Training: The U-10 Management team are delighted with the large numbers turning out for training on Wednesday’s at the  A.V.S. Gym 6pm.- 7p.m. and Monday’s at the St. John Bosco Centre -  7.30p.m. - 8.30p.m.                       

U-8 Beginners – Fun Training. Hi Mums, are your kids full of the “Joys of Spring” and you can’t keep up with them. Then why not send them to Barry and Paddy on  Monday evenings in the St. John Bosco Centre from 6.30p.m. - 7.30p.m. for an hour of none stop football. Come and enjoy the fun!

Club Development Draw: As we have mentioned in our last Club notes, tickets for our annual draw are on sale. We urge Club members to get selling as it is the only Draw we hold and much needed funds are required for our underage and to upgrade existing facilities at Drumbar. Please make an effort to sell the tickets you have been allocated. The draw will take place on Saturday 8th April ’06 in the Coach House. Tickets 5 Euro each.

I’m sure it is a great relief for parents who have children participating in out-door activities at Drumbar to know that they now have footpath access and new lights from town to the playing pitch at Drumbar F.C.. Well done to all concerned.
